Reports Highlight Prevention Capacity Growth

Since 2004, West Virginia received and implemented a federal Strategic Prevention Framework Grant that resulted in the increased capacity of state and county coalitions that focus on substance abuse and other prevention initiatives.

The multi-year SPF grant ended this September, but many reports and documents are available that highlight our state’s accomplishments.

Of particular interest are:
--a scholarly journal article (The Power of Process: A Story of Collaboration and Community Change. Journal of Community Development);

--a dissertation (Regional Learning Opportunities: A Story of Place-Based Learning Among Adults in WV);

--and two end-of-project wrap up reports:
• WV SPF SIG Final Qualitative Evaluation Report
• WV SPF SIG Final Grant Closeout Report 2004-2010
